    fair enough. You will rip the existing stain off with 80 or 120 grit paper on an orbital sander

    yeah cool, binding would look classy and I've never seen a tummy cut on an explorer !

    I regret not doing it on my rc4, that digs in to my ribs after a while and makes playing for extended periods uncomfortable.

    Go the tummy cut, I have one on my latest TLA-1 guitar and it's going to make a huge difference [for me personally] in comfortability
