Hey, I feel the same about my LP, first build which I know I could have done better.... But now it is sitting in the workshop still awaiting a rebuild

Don't be afraid of revisiting your first. I'll admit my tl1 wasn't perfect from the get go, but after refinishing the neck, sorting the frets, rewiring at least three times and adding a bone nut it was pretty close. The fat c shaped neck was never going away though, using a strat neck on my next tele.

haha yeah Pabs its not a bad idea. I might refinish my first PBG build EX-1 I did in a clear coat. Wasn't much grain in the basswood but at the time I was happy with it

haha yeah Pabs that will be a while off - I got a pile of about 8 kits untouched I will start when I clear the ones hanging in the workshop. I could spend 12 months easy upgrading and fixing up my earlier builds

Stripping this thing down has revealed a few oddities. Missing and odd screws, mismatched components, randomly placed copper shielding and a flawless, tidy wiring job.

    Naked.

Then I very carefully (totally recklessly) removed the neck and went roughly over it with some 80 grit to get rid of the finish.

    Gettin it done.
