There was only one ash body in those pics and that had beautiful big wide grain so unfortunately I had to make do with what I was given.Originally Posted by keloooe
Obviously a tight grain just isn't going to take the black and give a contrast like something with big open pores.
I may even do another black coat yet and see what happens. Cheers bro.
