Yeah agreed. Either matt black or chrome hardware. Gold would be way too much I think - does the blue have a metallic fleck in it or is it just my eyes?

hey Ben, I'll wait for a mock build and get everyone's opinion. Hasn't got a neck yet I need to order one but planning a maple fingerboard neck. Rosewood maybe too dark if I'm going with a white or white pearloid pickguard.
Good news the replacement spray cans I can pick up Sunday so hope to get next coat on probably Monday arvo

Looking awesome Wokka! A few layers of clear on there and a cut and polish and she'll really be the business. The shape is really cool, and I agree that chrome would be a great choice with a white pearloid pickguard.

    cheers,
    Gav.

here's a rough mock build with a darker blue mirror pickguard and a white pearloid and put the chrome hardware on. What's everyone's preference on the pickguard ? Has to obviously be reshaped.
@ Tony still undecided on hardware colour, might look at gold or black but liking chrome at the moment

Wayne cut the headstock shape lastnight and replicated the lower horn shape. Might end up rounding the top left corner near the high E tuner.
@ Tony planning to paint the headstock same metallic blue colour and thinking natural neck

Definately the pearloid, the blue takes too much away from the body colour.
