No argument about his speed, but as others have said it ain't everything.

I rather listen to people like Robert Fripp, Mick Box or Brad Paisley playing lots of notes to the bar, at least there would be melody and places where the notes were allowed to breathe.

Speaking of Fripp has anyone on here had a crack at using "New Standard Tuning" he was despairing about the limited range of the humble 6 stringer and found a better way without adding strings, I haven't tried to get my head around it because I'm an old fart and too fixed in my ways.

I agree with ya Bargie.. Not a fan of shredding myself but for the laugh factor I reckon this dude has scored 9-10

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

I think it's a beautiful concept in theory, unfortunately in my case it's taken me this long just to attain "average player" status, I couldn't handle re-learning the guitar again. This dog couldn't handle new tricks and probably wouldn't justify knowing them anyway.

Yeah I'm on the same boat, shredding isn't my thing (even though I do tend to get my speed up quite high on certain axes ) I still think it's damn hilarious!

And the clock in the background proves that this is legit

Here's a look at what NST looks like for anyone who's game

New standard tuning (NST) was invented by Robert Fripp of King Crimson in September 1983. Fripp began using the tuning in 1985 before beginning his Guitar Craft seminars, which have taught the tuning to three thousand guitarists.
    String (right-handed) Note Frequency (Hertz)
    1 g' 392.00
    2 e' 329.63
    3 a 220.00
    4 d 146.83
    5 G 98.66
    6 C 65.41
