    Check your tools before using them. My solder iron's tip fell out today whilst I was soldering a fuzz pedal and almost landed in my lap! The screw had gotten loose after so many uses and I had never checked to see if it was tight.

    good tip Nicko about the loose tip !
    Another builder Alan burnt his fingers with a soldering iron with his SG recently.
    Just a wake up call to be careful with all tools electrical or not

    Yes indeed.. I have a very nasty soldering iron burn on the back of my hand incurred over 30 years ago, nasty scar... Be careful!
