ive decided to go for a trans red finish on the top with the black racing strips. still deciding on what to paint with the neck. im thinking of keeping it the same colour as the body, a transred with the stripes running along the back? thoughts on that one?. dont know whether i should shape the headstock but i know im going to have the fron face black and he back and sides of the headstock the same colour as the ret of my guitar. that beautiful trans red.

im going to go for the black hardware to match the floyd rose. if the floyd becomes too much of a problem however then ill keep the stock chrome hardware and forget about the FR completely. decisions are a go for the FR so far though!

as for pickups im going to keep them stock for now, only because i dont quite have the moeny to get the pickups i want. not to mention i want 2 different sets of pickups. so with that idea in mind im thinking of putting plugs in my wiring so that the pickups are easier to change. unplug and plug the new ones in. easy to change pickups to suit the sound i want and doesnt involve having to undo any solder. if that idea comes across a little confusing, you will understand a little later down the track when i get to that

thats wokka for DBs email address. ill contact him soon

It's well worth shaping the headstock Kurt, come up with an original shape. The flat top shape looks dead boring !
    Body looking nicely sanded.
A strip on the back of the neck may cause dramas down the track when the back of the neck gets worn from all the playing it will get !
The stock pups don't sound too bad. Good idea to use plugs for the pups !

hahah nice barge. i love it, but i think ive decided on a shape for my headstock now. all will be revealed in due time.

what would you guys do with the fretboard? do you seal it with anything? leave it raw wood? stain it? i dont nesesarily want to leave it raw and open is all..

Kurt there are quite a few fretboard oils to rub in or get some Dingotone wax is good for protecting and sealing the fretboard

I've never used the Dingo wax but Dr. Duck's is really good gear, that's all I use.

okay so i may aswell get a wax sent out to me along with my custom colour from DB. another part of the design process is having my own sort of etching of a logo or design on the face of my headstock. woulld anyone know how to go aobut doing this or would i have to get a decal sticker made or something? after that, the design process is pretty much done and i just have to wait for stuff to arrive
