    yeah Barge think I got it from a wood bin at the wood show, pretty sure it was marri, all I know its a heavy axe. It can have some pretty awesome grain man.

    You can always try the clear pickguard and see what the hum is like. I reckon you could live with a bit of hum if it looks sick

    You might be able to answer this Wokks, would it make any difference if I replaced all the wiring to braided shield wire? Or is the problem more due to the strip of foil under the pickguard that the pots sit on? You'll have to excuse my ignorance, I know very little about wiring and electronics.
