    I did about 8 or so really light coats, let it dry for a week, sanded with 1200 and then hit it with 2 more light sprays. Worked out pretty well. Its been played heaps and knocked around a little and has held up better than I expected.

    I'm just as stunned (stunged?) by your progress as when I got stung on the fingertip by a paper wasp last week.
    That made me sit up and take notice - so has this outstanding effort.
    Keen to see more progress . . .

    @Stan & Tim: Thanks, lads.

    @MaxAxe: Wow! High praise from the master of builds himself! Cheers, mate.

    Thanks Pabs. I'll attack in a similar way then. Coat two went on tonight, I'll aim for 3 & 4 to go on tomorrow, 5 & 6 Friday, 7 & 8 Saturday, then leave 'er sit for a while. Cannot wait to have this bewdy done! Taken me far too long. :P

    Got another coat on anyway.

    Ask, and ye shall receive, Wokka.

    Coat 4 is on, photos will be up shortly.

    Also, for those of you looking for a nice, satin (or gloss) finish that won't blow the bank, I cannot recommend this enough. Goes on so well, 2 hr touch dry, 6 hr recoat, and $11.50 a can is pretty jolly good (I'll get close to 5 or 6 coats out of one can!).
