Looks great, Nick. And personally I find it a more satisfying using hand tools instead of power. But that could be the grandfather in me.

I have really enjoyed shaping it for sure. I'm not scared of hand tools guys, haha.
Update:
Headstock shaped and sanded to 240 grit.
Will be sanding the board over the next few days (hopefully!) and staining the neck at some point next week.
With the body - it is almost there. I think one or two more coats and she will be ready for finish coats.
Getting there!
I like the process you went through to cut out the headstock.
You do what you can with what you have. It is a process of inovation. I like that.
The result is excellent

So I've had an offer from my uncle to nitro clear coat the finish.
Will this work with Wudtone? Lookin at you DB.
Update time.
The body and neck are just about done. The body is about to get its last steel wooling and final coat - going to wait and see what happens with the neck stain. It's looking pretty good currently.
This is DB's Coolangatta Gold by the way. Really nice stain - smells a bit citrusy too.
mm... IPA.
Anyway.
Next on the list is decals for the headstock, clear coating, alignment and drilling, and final assembly.
Getting close now!
looking excellent Nick, you must be happy with the results. I don't think DB will answer on using the N word, he can't even say it he hates it so much. I don't have any experience with nitro on wudtone, Jarrod may be able to answer your question. I think its safer to use the wudtone top gloss keep going with that.
I've used the Dingotone gold and its a beautiful colour. It does smell good hey !
PS you're not the first forumite to use the shower as the curing area haha
