    Cheers Brendan!

So im at the stage of wiring my control plate and I have a super basic question regarding wires...
That is, what kind do I use to 'join the dots' on my pots, jack etc
Will any kind do or do I need a specific kind?
I did buy some vintage cloth wire from the PBG store, is this suitable?

Sorry for the newbie question - This is a first for me

I presume you are talking about all the earthed wiring. You can use the vintage wire, just solder up the inner wire in this case. However half decent pvc insulated wire would be fine as well.

This is looking awesome mate, a real eye catcher for sure - hope you can play : with red paisley comes great expectations

    Hey guys!

So I found an unused neck in a garage sale the other day and I brought it home, sanded it down and attempted to put it on my Paisley Tele body. However...

As you can see in the pictures, it is so very close to fitting the neck rout on the guitar but is still not getting in there. Also, the neck seems a tad too long (when I compare where the neck finishes on my TL1 and this, the fretboard finishes quite close to the neck pickup).

So, I have a couple of questions for the wise ones of the pitbull guitar forum. Firstly, should I sand back/ jigsaw a thin sliver of the bodys neck join away to fit the neck?
Secondly, should I also jigsaw a fret off the end so there is a suitable distance from the end of the fretboard to the neck pickup?

    Thanks in advance!

Hey Danger, nice score a garage sale neck !
It would be much safer to sand back the neck heel so it fits in the neck pocket. I wouldn't be putting a jigsaw anywhere near the neck pocket ! get some 40 grit paper and sand the neck heel till it fits, then go up higher grits to remove the sanding marks. Keep checking the fit as you don't want to over sand the heel and have a sloppy fit. If you have an orbital sander this should be a 5 minute job.
As for the longer fingerboard at the heel, I'd try and cut off the overhang about 2-3mm from the 22nd fret and you may save the 22nd fret. From the side shot the should be enough clearance to the neck pup but it will be much clearer the gap once the neck is seated in the pocket

    good luck !

Make sure you take the same amount off each side of the neck heel, a little at a time, so that the neck remains centred in the pocket. Once you get the neck seated correctly you can then decide about the fretboard overhang.

Thanks so much for the advice guys!
I am happy to report she fits nice and snug in the pocket no worries at all

    Now, for another quick question...
You'll notice the neck has smoothed edged corners on the underside where it fits in the neck cavity (See picture). Should I sand this so it is completely square?
I feel like this is the next step as it provides for the neck to fit right snug against all 3 sides.
Any advice, again, is much appreciated!

Good thought Weirdy, forgot to mention sand both sides of the neck heel.
Danger yes you will have to sand the heel bottom edge so it fits the shape of the neck pocket. Just sand small amounts at a time and test fit. Eventually you will replicate the neck pocket shape
