That's cool Danger. There's no rule to say it has to be done that way.
If that's what DB recommends I'd go with that. Caps and pots are easy enough to change and experiment with to find the combination that suits the tone you are after for each particular guitar.

Build update!
Recieved all my hardware for the body last night so I am now ready to start the wiring.
Should hopefully have it done in the next week or so as I have my mid semester exams

love the gold bling on the red paisley, this will come up a treat. What design you got planned for the headstock ? You might have to paint the headstock red and get Andyport to make you a paisley transfer

Wokkaboy - Hmm I had toyed with that idea but im going to go vintage with the headstock. It'll be standard Tele shape with Vintage Amber wudtone on the neck (and fretboard). I've also ordered some gold machine heads which should be arriving soon (props to PBG/Adam/DB for getting it set to me some 8-10 hours after I purchased it!)
