I have also managed to get hold of a TL-1 custom where the control cavity is on the back of the body. Basswood body and maple neck with a Rosewood fretboard. I also picked up a Babicz Tele Humbucker bridge in nickel. and some Klucson nickel tuners. I'm thinking a cherry burst finish for the front and stained black for the back and neck. As a side project I have also purchased a slab of walnut which I may use to make a tele body.

This sounds really nice...both the kit and the finishing ideas. I have been listening to Samantha Fish lately who often plays a custom Tele with Humbuckers. I think her broken up tone is amazing.
