The guitar looks great! Lovely colour combo with the gold hardware.

Sounds like the guitar building bug has struck again. I hope the "rearranged room" will be big enough to house the "couple" of guitars. The 3d printed warlock has me intrigued! I have been collecting some bits to make a walnut BC Rich "B" - one in a long cue of planned builds. So yes, like fishing rods - just harder to hide.

As for the necks, I have been finishing recent builds with satin polyurethane. I feel this is slicker than gloss.
    PitBull Builds: FVB-4, LP-1SS, FBM-1, AG-2, TB-4, SSCM-1, TLA-1,TL-1TB, STA-1HT, DSCM-1 Truckster, ST-1, STA-1, MBM-1, MBM custom, GHR-1 (Resonator), FH-5V (Acoustic), DMS-1 (Mustang).

Scratch Builds: Pine Explorer, Axe Bass, Mr Scary, Scratchy Tele's.

The little voices in my head keep telling me "build more guitars"

Thanks very much gentlemen - I need to turn the heat up on that frog slowly...otherwise the answer would just be 'no' ;-). I have parts for a tele arriving incrementally over the next month and I now have to start wiring and assembling the Warlock. But really I should be putting some time into learning given I dont want these to just be decorative instruments.

Here's a teaser of the BC Rich Warlock inspired body. Body is all glued and I've fitted the floyd rose. still have to size all the holes for pickup mounts etc and then fine tune how things fit together. This is just a raw translucent PLA filament. It'll be an experiment to see how well it holds tune...the 3mm steel bar running under the pickups should help with rigidity though!

Now this is a guitar that you can't just go into a shop and buy! Really cool project. If there is any exposed steel that you can ground it will add shielding as well as stiffness. This will be a fun one to watch. What pickups are you using?

I, too, bought a surreptitious Tele, a little at a time.

From memory they were Fleor double coils, rather than scratch build a neck I just found a Ibanez version that'll fit. Wont have the same look as the original, but the two should work reasonably well together. I've still got the fitting of all the hardware to do, then shielding. I'm in two minds as to shield everything, or just the control cavity as recommended.

I already have the idea in mind for the tele, ultramarine blue, pearlescent pick guard, silver hardware. Not 100% sure on the neck though, might have a very thin satin/oil finish for the feel and depending on the grain of the head, paint to match body or go for a high gloss clear.
