I was finally able to put some finish on the neck. This time I used Crystalac BriteTone instrument finish.
I have been using gloss finish on bodies, and gloss finishes on necks. I understand that gloss finishes tend to level better than flatter finishes, and I need all the help I can get in that regard, so I use gloss when I can. I use satin on the necks not because I prefer the feel of satin on the back of the neck. Since this is a maple neck, I decided to use both. Gloss on the front, satin on the back.
It still needs final sanding and polishing, but it will need to cure for 30 days first.
