    I could be wrong, but it looks straight, albeit at an angle, in the pic.

    Easy to check. Here is roughly what a "standard" Asian-made control plate would measure.Click image for larger version.

    Woops. Yes - straight control route. I had looked at the picture as well- I think I'm losing it!!!! I'm sure that they were curved!

    I don't think you're losing it. If you look at the pics on the PB website, both Thinline Teles appear to have a curved rout. If you look at the pics that Woodpecker posted, it looks straight. If you do a google image search for Telecaster Thinline body... Routs like on the PB website, routs like Woodpeckers and a couple of others as well. I guess there are lot of options if you have that funky thinline pickguard. For folks like Woodpecker who don't want to use the pickguard it may be fortuitous to get a straight one.
