    I built a Rams Head Big Muff pedal using a phenolic Big Muff pcb I bought online from Pigeon FX based in Hastings in the UK, the bloke who runs Pigeon FX is really pleasant to deal with, here's a quick demo of my Rams head Big Muff so you can hear what it sounds like, the four transistors I used were BC547C if I remember correctly, the diodes were all standard 1N4148 types:

    The thing I noticed most is that it seems to have more midrange than most Big Muffs do.
