You could possibly ground the tailpiece similar to the way the tele bridges are ground! Just thinking!

This is the most common way of grounding the strings when the guitar has a floating bridge. It's the way my old Fender Coronado is grounded, since the bridge (although metal) "floats" on top of the finish rather than on posts.Originally Posted by Trevor Davies
