That is really looking fantastic. MTN94 is my go-to for spray paint. Hope it works was well for you as it has for me. What are you thinking of for pickups?

    Thanks fender3x.

You suggested to me that I try MTN94 for my truckster build. I have not had any problems and I like the fact that it can be used in a range of temperatures (8 to 50 degrees C). I also like that it is available from a local art supply company. Hopefully the water-based poly will adhere well - it has in my trials!

As far as the pickups go - I think it will stay with the stock ones (for now!).

For the custom MBM-1 build, which only has the bridge cavity route, I have a Tonerider Birmingham Zebra Humbucker. I'm also trying to source a 6-position rotary switch and a toggle switch so that I can try a Varitone circuit and a coil split. I think that will give some good sound options considering there is only one pup! There is also lots on space in the control cavity to house it all.
    PitBull Builds: FVB-4, LP-1SS, FBM-1, AG-2, TB-4, SSCM-1, TLA-1,TL-1TB, STA-1HT, DSCM-1 Truckster, ST-1, STA-1, MBM-1, MBM custom, GHR-1 (Resonator), FH-5V (Acoustic), DMS-1 (Mustang).

Scratch Builds: Pine Explorer, Axe Bass, Mr Scary, Scratchy Tele's.

The little voices in my head keep telling me "build more guitars"
