    I'm calling this "scratchy Tele" series done for now. Unless I get a nice piece of wood that screams out TELE!

    It has been a fun, and educational, adventure. It started with the idea of making a thinline style semi-hollow guitar with a thinline pickguard, and make and use my own templates to make a repeatable process. The ride took a bit of a twist when I decided to try a bass! Overall. I'm really pleased with the results!

    My major difficulties have been:
    1. getting the neck pocket route to seat the neck correctly - as even a few mm shift can have a big effect on the neck alignment.
    2. choosing a pup which requires an easy routable recess. I found a Jazz pup recess the hardest.
