Getting to the end of my build. Would like to change to EMG pickup and wiring harness. Any recommendations?

    EMG HG35's?

These are the only EMG pickups in that shape that are passive, I think. I don't really like to keep a battery in a bass.

I have never tried the HG35's but I have a set of EMG Geezer Butler P+J pickups. Not similar in shape, but also passive. I think it's one of the best P+J combos I have heard.

That said, most people go to EMG for their active pickups...of which there are a lot to choose from. What sort of bass sound are you after?

Looking for good low end. I play a lot of classic rock.

I got the name wrong: EMG 35HZ is the soapbar passive pickup from EMG. You could listen to some youtube.

To me they sound like they have good low end. Maybe not as much top end as some.

Ok, dumb question, which pin is the ground on the jack? The one large or two small?

Not sure about "big" and "small." If you have a multimeter, just it's the lug that is attached to the ring (the part of the jack that touches the shaft of the plug). If you look closely at an open frame jack, you can often see which lug is in contact with the ring.
