I assume the switch has to be in that position to be functional!? Could it swing around into the space between the pots.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah - I thought about just running some electrical tape between the pot and switch but didn't know if that would cause issues or be a lazy shortcut haha. I ordered a straight switchcraft last night but can still cancel that order if need be. I guess I have some decisions to make.

Also - one more random question if I may - during my mock build, I noticed the toggle switch *barely* clears the hole with enough space to thread the nut. It's so close that I worry that once it's painted and finished it may not tighten. should I sand down the outside and inside of the area by the hole to ensure it clears when painted/finished? I am hoping the new switch might resolve this issue, but I want to have some contingencies if I have the same issue.
