Bridge MOD on FS-1 DIY ELECTRIC GUITAR KIT

Hi guys. Need your much needed advice. Planning to build my first hollowbody guitar out of Semihollow body FS-1 kit

    https://www.pitbullguitars.com/shop/...rome-hardware/

I want to know if I can install a 74mm stud spaced wrap around bridge through the same holes of the tunomatic bridge already drilled in the kit?. I know the tunomatic bridged studs are spaced at 74 mm and regular wrap around ones studs are spaced at 82mm.
But there are wrap around bridges from dusenbergs that are available with 74mm stud spacing. It's a replacement for tunomatic bridges but needs a bigger holes for studs drilled in same holes as in the kit.

Do any of you know if I can do that. Is there enough centre block wood available as reinforcement so as to not weaken the already drilled hole and make it problematic later

I had been mailing pitbull guitars asking queries but I don't know. My last 3 mails are still unanswered after a months time. So asking here

    Thank you in advance

    Drashkum

    Hi Drashkum
I will have a look for you this evening as I have an ES1 and a Duesenberg wraparound for 74mm at home for a project that I have left for awhile.
The Studs for the bridges that come with the kit are larger than a standard gotoh or equivelant.

Just went back into the build diary and have the info there.
If the same model wraparound the stud size on the one I got was smaller than the kit holes so had to fill with some Dowel and redrill.

Hi, do u think it has enough wood there for the Dusenbergs bridge to hold up in that position, to withstand the tension from the string pull after the guitar is setup and tuned?

    Thats what worries me.

Please do Let me know. Thank you for your effort to go back and look it up for me. I really appreciate it. Thank you

    Drashkum.
