Just got my set up checked at the local music shop, was told i did a good job which is good to hear.
Only thing i need is to replace the electrics cover as its not thin enough to fit to the contours of the body.
Made of pic guard material. Requires 2mm thick matt finish same as the other cover , anyone have an idea where to get some material.[in perth would be good]
Have you considered simply sanding the underside of the cover down until it’s thin enough? I’d tape it down to a board with double sided tape, then you should be able to use an electric sander on it (if you don’t fancy doing it all by hand).
As for the thumbnail orientations, some photo editors don’t write the rotation instructions in a way that is correctly interpreted by other display utilities. Try rotating the pics in another editor and see if that works.
Found some 2mm plastic to make a new cover plate looks pretty close to the other cover not a bad match $12 cant complain.
The kit would look cleaner in my opinion if the lead plug was in the same place as the LP/TELE.
I off set the tuner's also for a bit of difference along with the bowie tag on the headstock making it a one off.
All up came out well, the local music shop who set it up said it was well made and had lots of positive customer comments.

Looks great. Well done.
The kit's based on an S-series rather than an RG (though I don't know how closely the dimensions match up with the original - I think it's a bit thicker). But on the originals, there simply isn't enough depth of body on the edges to fit a jack socket on the edge. There might possibly be enough depth to just about fit a barrel jack, but there would be almost no wood on the top or bottom of it, so catching the jack plug on something would very likely result in the barrel jack being torn out of the body. Which isn't a good look.
So that's why the S-series has the top-mounted jack, and as the kit is based on that, then that's why the kit has one as well.
The kit must be a bit thicker-bodied than the S, as you don't need the 5-way switch being mounted on a surface-mounted plate in order to fit it in, so it's possible the socket could have been fitted on the edge, but then it would lose the S-style look.
That looks excellent Senobi. Great work.
