That's a really nice piece of wood, it looks wonderful!
I can relate to that! Also the waiting for parts thing...Have been busy with other things so this has been sitting idle for a bit.
Looks good though. The gold top hat knobs are a nice touch.
Making the world a better place; one guitar at a time...
Best of luck. I ordered a part from a place in Arkansas. After two months, it turned up in Canada and then a few days later was back in Chicago. Another three weeks went by when it was returned to sender. Contacted the seller and they said that it appeared USPS had temporarily discontinued shipment to Australia which I obviously don't believe but haven't bothered trying again with this part.
Parts finally arrived.
The plate from the US was my best option. Trying to find a lefty trem to fit was impossible. Interestingly the plate give incredible sustain and very crisp sound. As I don't use a trem much it worked out to be a great option.
The fret stickers came from an online outfit in Germany - Fretlook. They have not budged since I put them on. Looks like they have gripped well. They are very thin so not noticeable when playing.
The nut is a TUSQ replacement - great step up in sound.
Pickups are alnico Vs. Pots are CTS (proper lefties so they turn in the right direction) along with orange drop caps - back tone control setup for the humbucker and the front tone covers both single coils. Replacement knobs are for lefties as well. (It is quite frustrating trying to source bit for a lefty guitar.)
A special thanks to Simon for assistance in understanding pots - made wiring the guitar up much easier.
All up it plays better then my purchased guitars. Great sound and nice playing action. And the grain in the ash pops nicely.
I am very happy considering this was someone else's rejected custom order.

Looks great, you've done a really nice job on it.
Looking really good! Feeling your lefty saga's.
So you have not been able to source a lefty trem>?
Also are the strings just being fed through the plate before you put the plate back in place?
Looks great. Nice colours.
