It looks interesting at 1st glance, but to me it looks like all the action would be in the centre where the neck and pickups and bridge are going to cover and hide a lot of the figuring. It's all going to be down to relative size and position which is hard to tell without any reference. Maybe cut a body shaped hole out from cardboard, lay it on the wood with some card pickup and bridge bits and see what you think?

i had the same thought, but it’s an exercise for waaaaaaaaayyy down the track. It may yet end up as a small side table for the man cave.
