Note that the Hofner has a straight neck that doesn’t widen towards the body, so a Fender-style kit neck won’t look quite the same, though it will make it compatible with Fender style bridges and pickups. There really is a very limited (to non-existent if very narrow) choice of narrow-spaced bridges and pickups unless you can find some vintage units. And they were generally cheap and nasty.

Yeah actually I noticed that when I was drawing, and the string spacing in my mock up is pretty naff. I actually introduced a bit of a taper because it looked so weird. The gist is there though.
