And checked against the neck plate. The fine hairline crack which wa just extending beyond the neck plate is no longer visible (luckily - that bit of the glue stained black with the sharpie).

All in all - I am pleased with the result, and its given me a little more confidence.
Very pleased to have had the idea to use CA to stop the cracks from Simon Barden (and I know what CA is now !).

    Onto the neck next !

Thanks Simon. I know it is not perfect under that plate, but I have had a real close look at the cracks and they are full of CA - so they should be stopped.

    Nice repair work there.
Plus CA (or cyanoacrylate) is generic, while SuperGlue, Krazy Glue etc are specific brands for the most part.

    Nice recovery!

I don't know if it's because the holes have wax in them, but they look really small.

You should be able to slide the neck screws through the holes with little to no resistance. (I prefer none)
they don't want to grip the body and the heel of the neck, just the neck. This way the screws are only drawing the heel into the pocket.

If they are tight, I'd recommend enlarging them before final assembly. Great work though!

Hopefully they are bigger on the inside (I think they are ... but will check before final assembly)

A completely new experience - on previous builds was very luck and did not need to level frets.
In the end - it did not prove too taxing, and was definitely worth the effort.
