The two I linked are indeed on-on-on (3-way) switches.

Very reasonably priced IMO, and even with postage, probably cheaper than the Realparts one. The one caveat is no flat lever.

FTR I buy heaps from Realparts and they have great products & service, but I tend to order multiple items in one go to take advantage of their shipping discounts. However, little one-off items can get expensive with the flat-rate $7.90 postage. It comes down to "is it worth it to you?"

That's an on-on switch, not on-on-on.
Simon's diagram is for on-on-on.

Simon's drawing will do nicely for on/on too. Strictly you only need to wire one half, but both is fine too. Just ignore the bits of the diagram showing other switch combinations.
An interesting variation would be to have separate volume controls for each pickup.

A 2-position switch won't do the same job as a 3-position switch! The diagram works, but you don't get the 'both pickups in parallel' position.

If that's the case, I'd just pony up and buy the $20 dollar one from Realparts. ($27.80 w/ postage)
At least you'll get what you want.

Weird you can't easily get a flat toggle on-on-on switch, but at least you canget one at a price (though there must be a supplier somewhere who does one and supplies Realparts/Allparts).
