I'd probably go with neck as well. Strat mid and neck pups sold in sets normally have the same DC resistance.

I assume the P90 will be a soapbar? If a dog ear type, then you also need to consider the pickup height as it's non adjustable (except with shims).

I had planned on a soapbar P90. Mind you, as this guitar exists purely in my imagination at this point, alterations to the design are easily made if necessary .

I wonder if there's a reason for putting neck pickups in the middle. Prior to learning what standard procedure is, I just assumed it would be a bridge pickup.
