Like Dave, I've played a strat modified to a Malmsteen spec and found it hard to cope with; it certainly rewards a very light touch indeed, which makes it no good for the likes of me!
I would like to try a Blackmore sig strat, just to see if there is a difference....
"If it's Blues music in a bar and it helps people swallow their drink of choice, or it's a dance song and people get up off their chairs and shuffle their feet, or it's a Jazz tune and the Chardonnay tastes so much better... then it's all good."

Realistically we should all have a light touch. Just enough to get the notes to ring out, but, hard to do when you're used to pushing down hard/ have had one guitar that's less than perfect, and you need to push down hard on for some frets
