Will do DM. FW back on 20 Nov you mentioned drilling a 3mm hole for the piezo wire - does this mean the wire runs OVER the top of the spider cone rim into the hole? Got myself the female connector as per CS and looking to see whether I need to drill thru the cone; not sure whether that would affect sound.

The 3mm hole should go in the corner of that first recess where the lip of the cone sits, my intention is to use some small cable ties to secure it to the nearest leg and run it along that.

I wouldn’t put a hole through the cone, I can’t imagine that would do good things for your sound.

My piezo has a stiff 90' downward bend that prevented it sitting in the bottom of the spider. I drilled a hole through the spider to accommodate, then ran the lead along the spider leg. Over the cone edge and through the body (at point marked P) into the pot cavity. Connection made in the pot cavity. Humbucker has connector under the cone and wire exits into pot cavity at point marked H.
I wouldn't suggest a hole through the cone
