Decided to stain the neck and body black / grey. Trying out Prooftint which is a spirit based stain. Mixed 1 part stain to 2 parts metho. Turned out not too bad but it might be a bit dark.
Unfortunately I found a few glue marks on the body. I had found them earlier and tried to sand them back and also tried some orange oil based cleaner but it seems I didn't do enough as the stain didn't absorb as much in those locations.
