You will need some sanding sealer too. Ash has a very deep grain and your gloss topcoat will look pretty lumpy without it.
The rustoleum takes ages to go off, be prepared for a wait. It will stick to rubber until it is fully cured, a matter or weeks.
The clear topcoat you have there doesn't get a great wrap, but you probably won't need it anyway as the gloss level will be nice on the colour coat anyway. I used it once and it didn't go off very nicely, stayed a bit tacky for far too long and didn't have the resilience of the colour coat.
Give the rustoleum enough time, you will get a good hardwearing finish.
If you are going to the big green shed, I'd use the Cabots clear on the neck. This one... the satin is lovely on necks.

Agree, My first time with poly was on the recently finished resonator kit, I'm now a convert for the above link.

Thank you sir, that guitar looks unreal u just finished!

Btw you should only need one colour can for the body, swap it out for the white undercoat they make which will help fill the grain as well.

    Changed your mind on staining?
Hope it works out good for you as it is only as good as the prep once you start with solid colours.

Yeah, Waz, once I got to the paint dept, I lost heart. I will take my time with the prep work, no hurry.

Exact same products I used on the shoegazer. I've used that rustoleum clear on a few necks now and I like it. As others have mentioned it takes a long time to go off properly, but once its properly dry its very durable. I have not had any sticking to foam issues, but it certainly does seem to happen.
    Build 1 - Shoegazer MK1 JMA-1
    Build 2 - The Relliecaster TL-1
Build 3 - The Black Cherry SG AG-1
    Build 4 - The Sonicaster TL-1ish
    Build 5 - The Steampunker Bass YB-4
    Build 6 - The Howling Gowing ST-1
