When I first saw the front-on pic of these kits I assumed the back would be bowl shaped. I thought it would be akin to an electric saz/baglama like the ones in the pic below (two green ones in the top left corner - and is that a resonator version in front of them???)

I got all excited and then saw it was a relatively flat semi-hollow guitar. Then I was like "they should totally do an electric saz kit" before going through the same process I always go through when new kit ideas come to me:

    1. I'm probably the only person who would want one of those
    2. The only person who would want one is broke, so even he wouldn't get one
    3. No way in the world can this be justified from a business perspective
    4. sigh

So here she is, The neck has been done and first coats of tru-oil have gone on. HS decal was done with a laser printer and sticky tape as the iron on method wasn't working for some reason. it needs a couple of tiny touch ups before more oil coats.

the body is in it's second coat of primer. As you can see I shaped a little wedgie ( ) to make a flat surface for the bigsby to mount to and then molded it in. I used dowels to fill the stop tail holes.

Such an unusual kit, to an untrained eye like mine it almost looks like a mandolin. How big is it compared to a normal size electric, if you dont mind me asking?

The body is only a tad shorter than an LP and about the same width at its widest point. I've had it strung up and played it (no electrics) and it does suffer from Flying Vee syndrome when sitting unless you sit it in your lap rather than on it.
