I would leave it at least 24hours or so after you had set it. Most of the common glues need at least 12 hours

thanks Frank. yeah... I'll leave it for another night and day. that will give it 48 hrs undisturbed. looking fwd to getting the clamps off and holding it like a guitar instead of two bits wood.
