    For me, the trick to getting Tru-Oil to go on clears is to use Cabot's Cabothane Clear instead.

    The overwhelming response seems to be just that. Less amber hue? Don't use it at all. Lol.

    I don't mind some amber hue. It'll either be less coats or just use something else.
