Sounds good Dave. It has a real down to earth aussie country flavour.
I could picture either a bit of slide or a few lead fills here and there in my mind whilst humming along.

Funnily enough Waz we couldn't hear steel in this one at all and the jangley fingerpicking kind of takes care of the fills, the steel is in all of the other 10 or so tracks we have in the bag, we are working on another with a working title of Hawaii which has an Albatross feel and it will have Hawaiian style lap steel in it. ( also thinking about slack string and uke )
The 12 string riff is my 6 string acoustic mic'd up and double tracked in octaves with a tight edit
I've just done a big remix of Ballarat because there are three lines across the verses that I have a better take of so dropped them in and the singalong choruses get a bit too robust, there's 10 voices in this one panned randomly left and right at anything between 10% & 90 % to sound like a drunken mob of miners sitting around a campfire and I've pruned it back to 5 to tame them somewhat
