    Hey guys
Bit late as I had a date with 50million beers last night.

This is the headstock part way through a transformation

I treated the whole thing with Tung oil.
    Super smooth neck finish. Chuffed!

The neck fit was good (flat and straight) if a little rough.
It intonates and plays nicely but not great. Further tweaking required.

I moved the strap nut to the back here.

Don’t like the scratch plate so I left it off.

I also used the kit pickups which are surprisingly nice - if a little bright.

As far as finish was concerned it came kind of partly finished in that the wood had a kind of lacquer on it which I had to sand down a bit so that the Tung oil would take.

All in all it is a bit of an ikea kit. A long term work in progress that I am enjoying.
Not as pleasing to get stuck into as my pitbull kits.

I’m building a pitbull ES2V at present which is coming along fantastically.
I’ll put some proper shots of that one in its own build diary.

Hey I know why it has not been the most satisfying exercise- pre-drilled holes, partly finished wood and no solder wiring!!

I just don’t like someone else half finishing the job before I get it.

That looks really nice Olisam i like it. Im probably going to re-shape the headstock on this one as well and most likely change the tuners for some grovers. I haven't decided if i'm going to change the pups or just use the stock ones as yet.
My original plan was to paint this one but i'm in two minds now i was looking at my current supply of Dingotone and i still have quite a bit of Bushfire sunrise and colourless neck stain left over from my last build and i might go ahead and order some DT Black stump as well. From a cost perspective and after some more thought its hard to justify lashing out on expensive paints when i already have stuff i can use.
I haven't done anything on this one yet due to a Cat V Greyhound scuffle a few nights ago that i had to intervene in which resulted in my right hand getting mangled by the cat i was trying to protect. Unfortunately for me its left me with limited use of my right hand. I faired worse than both the dog and the cat.
I'm going to try and get some stuff done tomorrow and see how i go hopefully ill have some progress pics to share.

Hi OLiSam, that turned out really nice.

Looks like a Mahogany neck whereas Grubsta's looks more like maple.

The Artist Bullbucker PUP's appear to be excellent value and the sound demo videos have them sounding as good, if not better than the Duncans they have been copied off.

Sounds like you have enough DT leftover if you were to go down that path. Personally not so sure about Black Stump as after reading lots of threads not too many have worked as as planned or expected. Plenty of 'Black' solutions out there if you are keen to go over to the dark side.

I have the bullbuckers in my tele deluxe. the more i play it the more i like them.
(also.....ive recently upgraded my amp from a blackstar idcore20 to a vox AC30VR which makes everything sound fatter, chimyer and just plain better....)
