Hee hee... when you're good and ready...

Making good progress on this one Ozzie. Finish looks great and has really brought out a lot of the grain, particularly end grain on the bottom edge that is devine.

Minus the pickups, I have rewired and added my components to the Jazz Bass scratch plate thingy.
3 x CTS dishback 250k A curve solid shaft USA thread pots.
3 x All Parts Jazz Bass knobs with grub screw to suit USA solid shaft pots.
1 x huge orange drop 473uf cap.
1 x switchcraft jack socket.
All earth wiring is now Black push back vintage wire...except the the bridge earth wire....I have found it easier to spread out the wire under a bridge from a plastic sheath.
White wires are also all vintage push back wire.
Only the leads from the pickups to go now....Jazz Bass is so easy to wire.
One query from the wiring....I even checked out Seymour Duncan site....same diagrams.....This will cut all output if I roll off one of the voume pots to zero. Each pickups volume is individually adjustable...but one at zero is a cut for all output. I cannot see a provision for a pass through and with no pickup selector switch this is what I believe will happen. Is this correct? (This is like the wiring setup on the BG-46 I made.) If this is correct I have no hassle with it...but it would be nice to know before I pull my hair out when I get no sound with one pot rolled off.
Second Query:- The mark on the knobs is opposite the grub screw hole.....where is "10" or fully on supposed to be......I have it facing up towards the player as you can see the line and dot marking full on...and you can access the grub screw from underneath. Is there a correct orientation for the knobs?

I gotta admit...that if I was to venture over to the five string side of things.....that one has always given me the fizz.
Ash body again and five strings of low thumping joy.
After building my TB-4.....I have taken a shine to the body shape...very much in fact....and the idea of doing that again but in five string has me itching too.

I found this on a fender page.....mmmm.....maybe I can start at the neck end of the metal thing and put that knob on first and then work my way down towards the jack socket.....get at the grub screws around the pot shaft that way.
