My eldest Son's Epi LP Gold Top's sound muddy yet the ones in my Slash AFD sound almost the same as Alnico IV Toneriders in the EX-1...go figure?

For $15 each that probably gives a fair indication of what the current owner thinks of them. Hard to say if there would be much, if any at all improvement on the stock Chinese kit PUP's.
