so you can add some colortone on the Indian ink. that sounds good, but you have to try different mixture if you want to keep the cherry red color I presume. and I'm a colorblind, so I shouldn't try to do mixtures, it won't be good in the end.
Yesterday, I bought some glitter to mix with paint. I tried to mix it with the Rit dye, and did a trial on a piece of wood. I didn't like the result. I don't know, maybe I didn't shake enough or maybe I just need to use some paint with this.
that's why I lightly sand the body and want to try to add a varnish. it will maybe get the glitter and dye stuck in it . And if this is a fail, I'll surely have to start it all back from the beginning.
I started with the Rit dye, because I saw a guy on you tube using some black and later red Rit dye on his guitar build. the finish was with tru oil, and I really liked it. So I decided to try the same stuff.
I think my problem was with the acrylic glitter lacquer. this aerosol paint is maybe just good for party decorations.
