No, completely dry. They did fine and I popped them in a tub of water and cleaned them up. They were all good.

Just another of the many ways they can be used. Very handy to know.

They are actually out stock of a lot of the micromesh range at the moment. The comprehensive kit is nixed as well.

Bummer Waz those pesky edges it is so touchy they never hold enough clear coat.. you will make them disappear in short order. Looking good.

Waz, that's a shame about the edges. Always hard to deal with...... keep at it you'll get their eventually! I find TO is quite forgiving, use thin layers and it should build up again nicely

About 6 weeks ago I was doing the final polish and accidently bumped the work bench and face planted the body onto garage floor. Great if I was trying to do a relic but that was not to be.

Anyways after having a carefully sanded back and applied god knows how many coats of TO (well past 30 and maybe even 40 coats) I had an RDO today and began the final wet sanding and polishing stages again for the 2nd time. Here is some evidence of today's activities...

Neck has been done for ages and side edge of body has same amount of shine without any wet sanding yet.

I like the look of the neck and the body.....like liquid glass. Nice work.

@ Ponch - at least it is on the back this time and have already got a couple of touch up coats done.

@ Ozzie - yep, the dipped in glass look is why this build has taken so long. Almost there and only the back to finish off.

I may as well give up one of my secrets.....


Used this stuff after the Meguiars ultimate compound and it brought on even more shine.
