    Yep I agree, unless you want the grain to show. If you want that super gloss mirror type finish you've got to fill that grain somehow

    Yeah I held back on any painting today. I was working on shaping the head. Their is an undercoat available in this range https://www.dulux.com.au/products/31L.

    Seems like a good undercoat, Dulux is pretty reliable, just check to see if it is a oil, metho, thinners or water based undercoat, then stick with this formula and brand. Undercoats are also essential for proper adhesion, you don't want it bubbling down the line. Waz is on the ball as usual.
