They were pretty tight fit but I still used Titebond to fill any gaps when I put them in. Also sanded the top so they are flush for sure.
Some are for the fibres and some don't feel they're necessary but in Finland the humidity changes between 20% and 80% (even when it's not raining) and temperature between -25 to +25 celsius so fibres can help with the neck not living so much between seasons. Plus I think I could change heavier strings on with no adjusting the truss rod. The neck is so strong now.
