So, hiccup with the route template. Getting a new one done up tomorrow then I wil plunge that router in the body like there's no tomorrow! Then it's all systems go! Can start the body work 😁
Question for all the wiring gurus... how does one make a push/pull pot both volume and tone? I found a wiring diagram but just want to make sure it's right! Name: IMG_4563.JPG

That will work if you want it down for volume, up for tone. However, when in tone mode the volume will be full and in volume mode the tone fully off, so it doesn't 'hold' its settings. Also, that example is wired more for independent volumes like on a bass.

It all depends on how you want to use it and in what context with the rest of the SG's circuit.

Hey weirdbits, thanks! Is there a way to wire it to have the settings 'stay'? Cause I'm going to have a master vol anyway so if not then I have that as a fail safe

Not with a push/pull, no, it works as one or the other and can't 'hold' setting once switched.

If you want volume and tone and to have the settings 'stay' in a single control your only practical option is a concentric pot. That would allow you to control both volume and tone but requires a stacked knob that typically has limited styles, so that option will depend on the style of knobs you want to use with the build.

Like I said it depends on how you want to incorporate it into the rest of your circuit as to what the best options would be.
