Well if you're using it as a DAW machine, I'd suggest getting one that has a fair bit of CPU grunt in it, so go for one with at least either an i5 or i7 CPU in it, my Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop (that needs the replacement keyboard) has a 2Ghz Core i7 CPU in it and it came with a single 8Gb Ram stick installed in it and a 1Tb HDD and DVD R/W drive.
If you're getting it to record music on it you should also consider getting a good USB Audio Interface for it too, I've got a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Audio Interface that I use with my Laptop, and it works well with Windows 10 64 Bit, you could also consider the Scarlett 18i8 too, which features more Mic/Line inputs.
And also consider getting an external HDD so that you can save all your sessions on it as well.
