Thread: Rossc0's 1st Build - LP1-SS

Not Happy Jan. Got the guitar out this morning all ready to give it a light rub with some 0000 and put the finishing coat on. Not completely dry. Not surprising I suppose considering the weather on the East Coast this week. Oh well next weekend hopefully. Rather than do nothing, off the the big green shed for some 3 mm ply, thought I'd try making up some wooden control cavity covers, I'm just not loving the idea of the cream plastic against the tru-oiled mahogany. So first attempt, cut and sanded to size with a coat of timbermate applied, have to wait and see how things match up.

Cheers Adam, not going to touch with anything this week, just leave it alone. If it takes another week or even 2 to go off no big deal really. Teaches you patience if nothing else.

Not too bad for a first attempt. Will see how the colours match when I start oiling.

Cheers for that, nothing fancy, 3mm marine grade ply. Will see how close I can get the colours.

Already done the harness, did that a few weekends ago.
