    Hey Nitro, depends how deep the string slots are but it looks too high still.
    Put the strings on, tune up and that will give you a better idea how far you have to push the strings down on the 1st fret.

    there's a nut height tutorial somewhere on the forum

    Cheers, the slot depth is not very deep. i strung it up awhile back but it was very high. Will string it again and get some measurements. So is it best to file the slots or remove the nut and file off the underside?
