got a bit more done lastnight and 'stole' Popeye's spare reverse headstock rosewood strat neck. I will replace it for him ! I plan to try and cut thin end grain veneers to glue to the headstock to complete the look !

I was a busy boy, also got first coat of bushfire sunset on the jazz bass, will post some pics of that when I get the second coat on, in that build diary.
Here's a couple more angles.
The plan this arvo is to sand the tele body flat, get the sides cleaned up and route both pup cavities and control cavity. Love working with pine its so soft and easy to work with !

Looking good Wokks. I wonder how it would go with a rear rout for the controls and a 3-way toggle instead of a lever switch.
Scott.
cheers Weirdy. Not a bad idea I might consider rear control cavity so the control plate doesn't cover the grain. Then just cut a similar shape control cover for the back.

When I zoom in on the pics, all those swirls make me feel dizzy just looking at it!
Great job Woks and also reverse headstock Tele![]()

cheers Ponch. Got a heap more done yesterday, sanded fairly flat, cleaned up the sides, routed both pup cavities, drilled holes for wires and routed the control cavity from the rear. Also cut some thin pine veneers and glued to the headstock. Still going to reshape the headstock. Here's some pics.
I also got 2nd coat of bushfire sunset on the jazz bass
